However, Toyota has come up with something entirely new and is calling it 'Diamond tech' in marketing lingo. This system is said to be featuring diamond like carbon coating which aids more accurate fuel injection therefore, increasing efficiency.
The particulars of the engine are: power rated at 171 PS @ 3600 rpm and torque rated at 343 Nm @ 1400-3400 rpm from the 3.0-liter D4-D common rail diesel engine. The dimensions of Toyota Fortuner are 4.695m by 1.840m by 1.850m and the ground height being 0.221m.
In Thailand the vehicle is available with both manual and an auto transmission.
